FAFI E-BALLONS D'OR

An international jury of expert analysts awards the FAFI E-BALLONS D'OR for each game position. In 2014, the FAFI TOP 50 players will be assessed at every game and will be monthly ranked.



Preselection of the stars competing for E-BALLONS D'OR was made from FAFI index. The vote of all football fans will decide on the final list of Top players FAFI that will be established on 1 March 2014.





Why awarding the FAFI E-BALLONS D'OR ?

There is no question of competing with the FIFA BALLON D'OR which is the supreme title, recognized by the entire football community. Indeed, the FIFA BALLON D'OR is awarded by the most famous football professionals (captains and coaches of the top clubs and most experienced journalists).  








On its side, the FAFI E-BALLONS D'OR are awarded for each position by a jury of FAFI expert analysts on the basis of a precise and rigorous collaborative approach that complements the title given by FIFA.

When will the E-golden balls be launched ?

The objective is to create a panel of expert Analysts between the 1st and 29th of February 2014.

Implementation of E-BALLONS D'OR in 2014
The E-BALLONS D'OR will be implemented in March 2014. The FAFI Top 50 players will be assessed during each match by the jury of expert analysts. An intermediate classification for each position will be released each month.

What is the difference with the FIFA BALLON D'OR?


The FAFI E-BALLONS D'OR differs from the FIFA BALLON D'OR mainly on the four following points.

1. Election of three best players for each position

• The FIFA BALLON D'OR designates the best player of the year. However, this award is usually given to an offensive player.
• The FAFIE E-BALLONS D'OR designate the top three players for each position. No position is forgotten.

2. Monthly rankings

• The FIFA BALLON D'OR is awarded once a year with the release a month before of a list of the top 30 players.
• For the FAFI E-BALLONS D'OR, the FAFI Top 50 players are continuously assessed during each  game and an intermediate ranking is released on a monthly basis.

3. Transparent evaluation method

• The FIFA BALLON D'OR is the result of a vote. Football professionals give their expert opinion without expliciting their choice.
• The FAFI expert analysts evaluate the players following a detailed assessment method that has been described in detail. Thus, the result of the assessment is transparent and published on the FAFI website.

4. Jury of Expert analysts

• The FIFA BALLON D'ORl is designated by professionals.
• The E-BALLONS D'OR are awarded by a jury of expert analysts who are selected by the FAFI analysts.
